About us

The association Napolinternos has set itself this goal: to promote and reveal the cultural, historical and artistic heritage as well as the folk and culinary traditions of Naples and surroundings, by encouraging and carrying out appropriate cultural events; and by proposing itself as a partner and consultant of other Italian and foreign associations, clubs and institutions who are interested in having a confrontation and an intercultural dialogue. To do this, the association has intended to diversify its resources in a variety of activities, i.e.:

§         to promote and organize - also in cooperation with other private and public organizations who share the same purposes - guided tours, excursions, workshops, meetings, conferences, events and any kind of cultural and leisure activities, referring to its corporate purpose;

§         to support and organize reception, orientation and assistance services for benefit of those associated residing outside our region, who are coming to visit it, relating also to how to reach and access our accommodation and tourist facilities.

All our members have been recruited among "napoletani d.o.c." * (that's to say, Neapolitans since generations) and are qualified guides holding a university degree in historical, literal, archaeological or artistic disciplines. As territory experts and enthusiasts, they have been involved for years in spreading knowledge about the Neapolitan culture among a mixed audience, applying, along with professional competence, their skills flexibility and helpfulness, as well as the typical ability of Neapolitans of empathizing with a variety of speech partners, above any difference or distance.
Our cutural activities are addressed to the inhabitants of our region, who wish to deepen their understanding of their cultural roots, as well as to all visitors who want to discover and experience a different reality from their origins.

* D.O.C. (Denominazione di Origine Controllata), or appellation of controlled origin, is a label which indicates that an agricultural product is from a specific region; it's particularly used to mark food such as cheeses or wines as an important part of a nation's culinary and historical heritage.
